This is a film that holds your heart in its palm. It is a story of strong women and men in denial; it’s funny and sad, tender and gritty.
It reveals the growing toll on all our bodies of our sedentary, fast-food lives. Of how we live for today and pretend tomorrow never comes. But above all, it celebrates life and our will to survive.
Lisa, Ted, Greg and Pat face the emotional drama of major life-saving surgery that can add 20 years to their lives – but only if they can change the habits of a lifetime.
Like them, we all take health for granted. Because bad things happen to other people, not us.

CAST
Greg has a charmed life. He is married with grown up children and lives in an idyllic house set in beautiful countryside. He's always taken his health for granted and the diagnosis of blocked coronary arteries, a potentially fatal disease, takes him by surprise. Half in denial, he re-evaluates his life, doubts the need for surgery but plans big changes for his uncertain future.
Recovering from a life saving operation, Pat was told she'd never walk again. But she's fighter and to prove the experts wrong she's set herself a target: to walk to the far end of Clevedon's beautiful pier. And back.
Ted is the much loved grandfather of a big family. Franco has told him his heart is in such poor condition he must change his unhealthy lifestyle. Ted's not convinced and hides behind his quick wit until he unexpectedly faces another ultimatum, this time from his family ...
A renowned consultant heart surgeon, Franco sees the surgery as every-day routine and safe. Persauding some of his patients to mend their ways can be a more daunting challenge. They are facing the biggest emotional crisis of their lives.
As the mother of seven children, Lisa, still in her mid-40s has had little opportunity to put her own health first. But chest pains force her into to hospital for tests. Will she still be able to care for her children again? Will she ever get out of hospital?
As a consultant cardiologist Stephen is with Franco on the front line, fighting against vascular disease - the price we pay for our sugary diets and stressed, sedentary lives. His worry is that patients are getting younger and younger.

Director of PhotographyAled received a Welsh BAFTA in 2016 for Best Documentary Camera for his work on the BBC programme Patagonia. He studied Film and Photography at Plymouth Collage of Art and Design and worked as a photographer covering events such as the plight of the Kurds during the First Gulf War and in the Balkans.
